Tallahassee Community College’s Presidential Search Committee has elected Karen Moore, a member of the College’s District Board of Trustees, to lead the search for TCC’s eighth president.
Moore, who recently completed a term as Board chairwoman, will lead the 13-member committee that includes college faculty, administration, classified staff and student government, as well as a member of the TCC Foundation’s Board of Directors and the heads of the chambers of commerce in Leon, Gadsden and Wakulla counties – the three counties that make up TCC’s service district.
“I am honored to work with this committee to ensure Tallahassee Community College’s reputation for innovation and academic excellence continues to grow and to support the needs of our region’s businesses and residents,” said Moore.
Moore was appointed to TCC’s Board of Trustees in 2007 by Governor Charlie Crist, and previously served as president of the TCC Foundation Board, chairing the College’s first capital campaign.
